As the Official Beer of The England Football Team and Sponsor of UEFA Euro 2012, Carlsberg is launching a contest, Carlsberg Pub Cup, to find the best five-a-side soccer team in the UK. Establishments and consumers alike are encouraged to enter their team into the tournament.
The brand has established 2 tournaments for those who play competitively and those who play for fun. For those that play for fun, Carlsberg can award a Carlsberg Green Card. Playing off the red & yellow cards in soccer along with the brand tagline, That Calls for a Carlsberg, teams are awarded these cards for a great moment of sportsmanship, fair play, team spirit or bringing along loyal supporters. Carlsberg respects and rewards all aspects of the competition.
With the assistance from Gareth Southgate, a retired English footballer and ex-manager, a winning team will have competed in Emirates Stadium and received VIP treatment in preparation for a final match against a team of European legends.

Just this year, Bud Light Fan Camp had a national search for the best coed team which were tested in traditional and non-traditional NFL skills tests, each with a twist from Bud Light. Local winners from each city were sent to Hawaii for the NFL Pro Bowl where a grand champion would be crowned.
